REVIEW: Olay Essentials Double Action Sensitive Day Cream

I recently found myself in the (rare) situation where I had actually run out of all my day moisturisers. A hurried trip to my local Tesco and I was frantically looking for something so that I could use it straight away. The product I decided on was the Olay essentials double action day cream for sensitive skin. Back in the day when I first started using moisturiser (roughly when I was thirteen), I tried this exact moisturiser but for normal skin. My mum and my nan have both used that cream religiously and still have amazing skin. However, I found the normal version of this moisturiser to be way too heavy for me and my skin erupted in blemishes soon after.

Therefore, when I bought the sensitive version in my mad dash to Tesco, I was a little nervous to try it yet hoped it would give better results as it is for sensitive skin. I shouldn't have worried - this moisturiser is so lovely to use. It sinks in very quickly and leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. I should note that I have normal to oily skin and I didn't find this to make my skin any greasier! I also love that the scent is very subtle and fresh and does not irritate my skin at all.

The only thing I'm not so keen on is the packaging. I feel like Olay's products are usually overlooked and viewed as products for older customers. The packaging is a little dated and could do with a revamp in order to appeal to younger customers. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me trying other products by Olay and I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone!
