REVIEW: REN kit for combination skin

A little while ago I decided I wanted to try some products from REN and so ended up purchasing the travel kit for combination skin from the REN website. As most of you beauty bloggers will know, REN is extremely hyped online and so I was eager to see if the products lived up to their rep. The kit comes with one 25ml Mayblossom T-Zone Cleansing Gel, one 15ml T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid and one 15ml Invisible Pores Detox Mask. Out of the three, I was most excited to try the mask as I had heard it worked wonders on clearing up blemishes.

Mayblossom T-Zone Cleansing Gel

The Mayblossom cleanser has a lovely light, fresh scent and takes makeup off very easily. However, I definitely saw no improvement to my oily T-Zone, much to my dismay. I also found that the product did nothing to help clear up a sudden breakout of blemishes that I was suffering from. Therefore although this is a nice enough cleanser, I unfortunately will not be repurchasing in the near future.

T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid

Again this product has a lovely light and fresh scent and is not heavy at all on the skin. I found that it sunk in very quickly and left my skin feeling nice and soft. I was super pleased when I noticed that my makeup seemed to stay put for longer when I had applied this moisturizer. I would be keen to try the full size of this to see if it continued to give good results.

Invisible Pores Detox Mask

The mask was definitely my favourite out of the set. The mask is like a clay mask and I definitely saw improvements in my skin after using this just once. It really feels like it gives your skin a big 'clear out' of all the grime and dirt (ew!) and leaves your skin feeling clean and soft. I definitely want to purchase the full size of this because it is definitely one of my favourite clay masks that I have used!

So overall I can't say any of these products completely blew me away, but I'm glad I tried them. Along with this set I was also lucky enough to get a free sample of the REN Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask which is definitely worth the hype and I am looking to buy the full size in the near future. Have you tried any REN products and if so which are your fav?
