So for my best friend's 21st birthday, we are off for a two night stay in Stuttgart, Germany. Unfortunately, I don't get to see my bestie that often as she now permanently lives near Stuttgart as that is where her boyfriend is from. I therefore thought it would be a great excuse for a mini break for some girly time - aka retail therapy! I thought I'd share with you how I have tried to condense my make up down so that I only take with me the absolute necessities (plus some pretty lipsticks!). The bag I'm taking to carry my makeup is one by Cath Kidston which I bought over a year ago online. Unfortunately it's no longer available on the website, however this one is the same style just in a different pattern. So enough waffling, let's take a look at my must have beauty bits...
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in Vanille - £10.99, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light - £4.19, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent - £3.99, Nars Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Blush Palette - Sold out
First, base and cheeks. I'm taking with me my trusty Bourjois healthy mix serum as it gives me the perfect amount of light-medium (buildable) coverage whilst giving my skin a lovely natural glow. Although my skin isn't behaving too badly at the moment blemish wise, I will still be taking with me the famous Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer as I have some scarring and redness from previous spots which need a little more coverage. As I can never decide on just one blush, I've decided to bring my beautfiul Nars One Night Stand palette which I, very luckily received for Christmas from my lovely boyfriend! The palette is perfect for travelling as it contains four gorgeous blush shades, aswell as a bronzer and highlight. To set it all I will use my good old Rimmel Stay Matte powder which I find mattifies my shiny t-zone for the majority of the day but doesn't look overly cakey.
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - £37.00, Mac eyeshadow in Omega - £12.50, Urban Decay Primer Potion - £15.00, Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner - £7.99, L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Extra Black - £7.25
Next up, eyes and brows. For my eyebrows I will just take a spooly brush to tame and then fill in with Mac eyeshadow in Omega. I find this the perfect shade for my light brows and blonde hair. I then am taking my gorgeous Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, along with the primer potion. I love this palette because I can use it for both day and night time looks. I will probably use the lighter shades during the day and then use the darker colours for a smokey look during the evening. The primer potion always ensures my eyeshadow stays put all day long and as you need so little of it it is lasting me forever! To finish my eye look I will line my eyes with the Maybelline gel liner - although I'm not a massive fan of this, all my other eyeliners have dried up! Maybe a duty free purchase will be in order... Finally I'm taking the classic Voluminous mascara from L'Oreal as it gives amazing volume (who would have guessed!?) and is pretty long lasting.
Mac lipstick in Angel - £15.00, Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in 54 Le Basier - £24.00, YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Lipstick in 4 Succulent Pomegranate - £23.50
Finally my favourite, lipsticks. For during the day I chose Angel by Mac as it is a pinky nude which is easy to wear. The only thing I slightly dislike about this lipstick is that it is a Frost finish, therefore a little drying. However, I'll let it off as the colour is so gorgeous! For a more bold lip and for during the evening, I'm taking my gorgeous Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in the shade 54. It is a beautiful bold pink which is slightly glossy yet has amazing lasting power! Last but by no means least, I'm bringing my YSL Volupte lipstick in the shade 4 which is a lovely pink colour which although sheer, is definitely builable to a more dramatic colour.
So that's what I'm taking away for the next few days makeup wise. I hope you enjoyed this post, I loved putting it together! What are your favourite travel makeup essentials? I'd love to know!

I wish I'd have got my hands on that Nars palette, it's all kinds of beautiful.
